Hunting Accidents

Hunting is a billion dollar business for Colorado. Hunters come from all over the world to hunt here. Hunting is safe and it is good.

Every year however, there are hunters who make mistakes. Some mistakes are simple from the stand point of the law. An example would be a hunter negligently shoots a fellow hunter. Some acts are reckless, for example a hunter who shoots another hunter in the dark.

Every year my firm represents an injured hunter from hunting accidents.

Not long ago a hunter shot one of our clients near Sargent, Colorado, north of Gunnison. The negligent hunter shot our client in the dark on opening morning of 3rd season. Our client managed to walk downhill for 3/4 of a mile where his father and friend had a good idea to use towels and duct tape to stem the bleeding, got an ambulance and saved his life.

A large settlement resulted. Call anytime if you have been hurt by a fellow hunter and it was not your fault.

In another recent hunting case, near Holyoke, Colorado, a bird hunter shot his hunting partner and the injured hunter lost his eye. Again, resulting in a large settlement.

If you have been injured in a hunting accident call a Denver Personal Injury Lawyer anytime for a free consultation.
